Malaysia, identified internationally as the emerging new economy because of consistent healthy economic growth is, to many, a land of opportunities. As we approach the year 2000 and enter the new millennium, Malaysians must be geared towards new happenings and new challenges. The energetic drive to achieve Vision 2020 has led to the development on numerous and prestigious mega projects.
Are women entrepreneurs a part of this Vision? Making a contribution? Leaving a mark? Having a say in the development of the economy? Taking stock of where we are now and what we have achieved so far? Have we evaluated our capabilities to contribute productively towards the national economy? Are we positioning our selves to be active players in the new era?
The National Conference is vital in uniting women entrepreneurs from all States of Malaysia. We women have to chart our future! We have to strategize and we have to capitalise on key areas of business and tap regional and global resources.
The positioning of women entrepreneurs in the new millennium has become an essential exercise and as entrepreneurs, we nee to act now!
